Play directly from your computer over your home network, including your VR video collection. Sane Video Hub handles playback on Quest.
Copy selected files to your headset for offline viewing. Keep the originals on your PC and choose what travels with you.
You approve each headset. Share selected files and folders, remove access whenever you want, and turn sharing off with one button.
You’ll need Sane Video Hub on your Quest, a Windows PC and the same Wi-Fi or local network. A wired PC on the same router works too.
Download Connect above and open the installer on your Windows computer. Launch Sane Video Hub Connect, then use Add folder, Add files or drag and drop to choose what to share.
This Windows app cannot be installed on Quest. It is a companion to the headset app.
On your PC, select Turn sharing on. If Windows Firewall asks, allow Connect on your trusted private network. On Quest, open Watch → Nearby computers → Find computers and select the computer ending in · Connect.
On the PC, choose Connect a headset. Enter its six-digit code on Quest, then select Allow device on the PC. Browse your shared folders on Quest and choose to play a video or copy it to your headset.
Keep the PC on while streaming or copying. Connect can keep sharing from the Windows tray when you close its window.
Check that sharing is on and both devices use the same home network. Guest Wi-Fi, VPNs and network isolation can stop discovery. In Connect, expand Computer not appearing on your headset? to see the PC address. On Quest, use Enter computer address and enter it exactly, including its port. Allow Connect through Windows Firewall on private networks.
No. Connect runs on your PC and makes chosen files available to the headset app. Open Sane Video Hub on Quest to browse, play or copy them. The PC companion does not download videos or play them on your computer.
Its Nearby devices feature still works with Quest. Connect is a separate, focused sharing tool: you can keep both. Each app remembers its own pairings; select the PC entry ending in · Connect to use this companion.
Connect shares over your local network; it is not a remote internet server. Copy videos to Quest before leaving if you want to watch offline. Faster Wi-Fi and a wired PC connection can help large VR videos play smoothly.
Your selected files are served directly from your PC to approved headsets over an encrypted local connection. Connect has no cloud upload or account requirement. Settings and device pairings stay on your PC; pairing credentials are protected using Windows. Removing a share does not delete its files. Use Forget to revoke a headset, or Turn sharing off to stop access. Read SaneBits’ privacy policy.
